Have you ever visited the CN Tower in Toronto?
The CN Tower, a concrete observation and communications tower that is 553.3 m high, is located in Toronto's downtown core, Ontario, Canada. It was built on the former Railway Lands and completed in 1976. The name "CN" was originally a reference to Canadian National, the Canadian railway company that built it. The tower was transferred to Canada Lands Company by the federal Crown corporation, Canada Lands Company. This happened after the railway decided to sell non-core freight railway assets before the 1995 privatization. The CN Tower was the world's highest freestanding structure until 2007. It was then surpassed in 2007 by the Burj Khalifa. It is the world's ninth-tallest freestanding structure and the highest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere. The American Society of Civil Engineers named the CN Tower one of the Seven Wonders of the World in 1995. It is also part of the World Federation of Great Towers.
